Harbour Island Birthday Bash

Flashback to June 2015…I can’t believe it’s been a year since our epic girls trip to Harbour Island!  We had THE BEST TIME exploring the island, making friends with the locals and celebrating LaLa’s birthday!!!  It was a bit of trains, planes and automobiles getting to this tiny island but SO worth it!  Our first stop was checking out our rental house, The Jewelbox (cutest.house.ever!)

We had a celebratory dinner at The Rock House that night, in honor of our birthday girl!  We were all surprised when the waiter showed up with a surprise bottle of Veuve, sent to our table by our friend Dori.  Such a fun night!

The next day, we hit the beach…with our custom swag, of course!

While soaking up the sun, and sipping on Kalik, we spotted a man with a horse walking down the beach…Next thing we know, Lauren is riding Star down the beach.  Ha! Video proof below:

That night, private chef Philip came to the Jewelbox to cook for us.  The meal was phenomenal…I still crave his homemade ranch dressing.  After dinner, we invited him to have a glass of wine with us.  We enjoyed hearing about his life, growing up in the Bahamas and his dream to start a catering business with his girlfriend Shaena.  By the end of the night we’d offered to design a logo and website for what is now Kitchen Utopia.  We’ve loved working with them and helping them brand their business.  We still keep in touch via email, kinda like a virtual pen pal, I suppose?!

The next morning we walked next door to the Pigly Wigly (yep, that’s right, it’s NOT Piggly Wiggly) to stock up on provisions (i.e. alcohol) and then drove our little golf cart to Valentine’s Marina to book a boat tour.  Captain Willard gave us the lowdown on the mansions of the island and told us where India Hicks’ home is located (major style crush!).

The rest of the trip was spent galavanting, looking for Hibiscus Hill (India Hicks’ home) and daydreaming of living in one of the cute pastel houses.  Oh, and also partying…The local bars are basically nothing more than walls and sand floors but we had so much fun at Gusty’s and Daddy D’s!  There’s nothing better than a late night dance party with your girlfriends!
